Hey guys! I hope you had a great Christmas if you do celebrate Christmas! On December 3rd I attended the first Apivita Beauty Bloggers event, which took place in the fancy restaurant called Hytra on the 6th floor of the Onassis Cultural Centre. I was so excited about it, because Apivita is one of my favorite brands. After attending the event I’m even more excited, since the event was really interesting. Apart from learning things about Apivita that I didn’t know, some lovely ladies there showed us great tips about taking care of our skin. I will definitely make a post about these tips or maybe a video if you would like that, let me know!
Let me tell you a few things about Apivita that you propably didn’t know. Mr. Nikos Koutsianas and Mrs. Niki Panagiotopoulou-Koutsiana are the founders of Apivita. They’re both chemists and in 1972 in a pharmacy in Athens they met and they started creating products based on natural ingredients (they even got married in that pharmacy!). The products (face creams, botanical creams, drinks) were so successful that in 1979 they decided to found Apivita! The name of the company comes from the latin words apis (bee) and vita (life), so the life of the bee. Today Apivita products are sold in thousands of pharmacies in Greece and also in 11 different countries: Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, Honk Kong, Japan, Luxemburg, Holland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and USA. Even a luxurious hotel in Honk Kong called The Landmark Mandarin Oriental uses Apivita products in their spa, take a look here! In case you didn’t know Asian people are very selective when it comes to skincare, spa treatments etc, so this is quite an achievement for Apivita! Anyway, I think I rambled too much in this post, so let me take you through some pictures from this event :
Starting from the left
Top row : part of the decoration of the room / Marianna and Marilena / salad with quinoa, pomegranate and some herbs that the chef of Hytra prepared for us / mysterious person and me
Bottom row : Mary and Eleni / the chefs of Hytra doing their magic (impressive, huh?) / the chefs of Hytra answering our questions about quinoa and whatnot / a wonderful buffet filled with various dishes was waiting for us at the end of the event (how thoughtful!), my favorite thing was the bread made of carob flour, delicious!!
There was also a “buffet” filled with Apivita’s face masks and scrubs and the corresponding fruits and vegetables that each product contained. We took so many pictures during this event that I couldn’t post all of them, so I made a collage with some of them instead :
Just before leaving they kindly gave us a goodie bag filled with products, including face masks, face scrubs, serums, a pack of eye patches and a tin with biscuits in it that I ate right when I got home lol, they were delicious! I’ve been using 2 of the face masks, both of the face scrubs and one of the serums and I’ve found some new favorite products that I will purchase once they’re gone.
I want to thank Mrs. Lina Korizi (Corporate Affairs & PR), which invited me to this wonderful and very interesting event, and of course Apivita for organizing the event, for pampering us and for the goodie bag!
Have you tried anything from Apivita? Do you have any suggestions for me? I’ve been loving their Propoline Shampoo for Frequent Use with Chamomile and Honey (I recently re-purchased it) and I want to try more products from this brand, so please let me know! I think I used a face scrub with olive from Apivita a few years ago and I remember loving it.
The pictures were kindly provided by Mary. Hey she has a much better camera than me! ;)
