Hi my loves! Today I’m gonna review the Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Hair Mask, which I’ve had for quite some time now, but I hadn’t used it, because I was using other stuff! So, I took it with me on vacation instead of hair conditioner, since the hair gets really damaged by the sun, the sea and the wind, so I thought that using a light hair mask everyday would be more beneficial to my hair than a conditioner and I was right!
Before we start the review, let me tell you a few bits about my hair. My hair is normal to thin (that's what a hairdresser told me very recently, I thought my hair was normal to thick), wavy with some loose curls, oily and frizzy. For about 16 years I did the terrible mistake (terrible, I know!) of washing it everyday. Now with the help of Exesio shampoo, which I’ll review once I’m done with it (you’re supposed to use it for at least 6 months), I’m washing my hair every other day and it has gotten so much better. Now my hair is less frizzy and dehydrated and it has more shape to it.
Let’s start the review with the packaging as always. This hair mask comes in a simple white plastic squeezy tube that holds 200ml of product. It’s a simple tube, nothing fancy about it, but it’s practical, because it’s easy to open and you don’t have to dip your fingers into the product. Another thing I like about the packaging is that you can see how much product you have left, because it’s a bit see-through. Here’s what the tube looks like :
(I forgot to take a picture of the tube and I threw it away, because I used up the product, so sorry for the lame pic lol)
The actual product is white and the texture is quite thick (but not too thick). It has the typical Pantene Pro-V scent, which I’m sure you’re all familiar with, and I like it a lot. This hair mask is supposed to be light, as the name (Aqua Light) indicates and it is indeed! I used it while on vacation for 10 days straight instead of conditioner and it conditioned my hair without weighing it down. I came back to Athens with soft, shiny, lightweight hair, which is awesome! I still use it now (it’s almost gone) when I want something more than conditioner, but if I want something deep conditioning, then this hair mask won’t do the job. I’ll need something “heavier”. Here’s what the product looks like :
Now let’s talk about the price of this hair mask. It retails for about 5Euros in Greece and you get 200ml of good product that does what it says and that will last you quite some time, since you don’t need much, so it’s pretty affordable. If you don’t like heavy hair masks or if your hair is fine and you need something lightweight, then give this product a go!
+ affordable - nothing wrong with it
+ smells nice
+ doesn’t weigh the hair down
+ practical packaging
+ leaves the hair soft and shiny
I quite like this hair mask and I will re-purchase it at some point for when I want an affordable, lightweight hair mask. Have you tried this product? What’s your favorite hair mask? :)
