Review : Elf Makeup Mist & Set spray

Hi my beautiful friends! Today I’m gonna talk to you about one of my favorite makeup tricks that is actually a product and it’s called Makeup Mist & Set by Elf. Before I start the review let me tell you a few things about my skin, because they’re important when reviewing a skincare product. My skin is combo-oily with some dry and sensitive patches, so I need to powder my face after foundation! Powder though can make my dry patches look cakey and flaky, so I need something to fix that. This spray by Elf is one of the products I use for this purpose.

Let’s start the review with the packaging as always! The Makeup Mist & Set spray comes in a dark see-through bottle that holds 60ml of product. The bottle is kinda cute, I like it and I also like the fact that I can see exactly how much product I have left. The only thing I don’t like about the packaging is the nozzle, as it doesn’t provide a fine mist. I’ve heard from other girls though that their nozzle is fine, so I guess I just got a faulty one. Here’s what the packaging looks like :

The actual product is completely clear and liquidy like water. It has a pretty strong scent when you sniff it directly from the bottle, but I don’t find it offensive when you spray it on your face and I definitely can’t smell it once it’s on. I like this setting spray, as it removes any powdery spots from my face and it doesn’t make me oily, break me out or irritate my skin. When I’m done with my makeup, I do a few sprays all over my face and then I take my foundation brush and press it on my skin to blend everything in! I love that it has no alcohol in it and that it contains aloe, green tea, cucumber and vitamins A,C & E, which are beneficial to the skin!

Now let’s talk about the price of this product. It retails for £3.75 on Elf's website (that's where I got mine) and you get 60ml of product that will last you quite some time. So, if you have dry patches (or dry skin overall) that get cakey after makeup application or if you simply want to try an affordable setting spray, then definitely give this Elf product a try!
