Review : Dotting Tools from Born Pretty Store

I had never been into nail art, I've actually always found it difficult and admired all the girls, who would post amazing pictures on their blogs. However a few months ago I was sent a couple of nail art products from Born Pretty Store and I was like "Ok, I'm gonna try it!" and I did! It was easier than I thought and I really enjoyed it. Since it was my first time I didn't try anything difficult, but even the simple design I did turned out great. So, in this post I'll talk about the dotting tools I got.

Let’s start with the packaging as always! These dotting tools come in a clear plastic case, nothing fancy, but hey you know me.. I like to be able to see what's inside cases/bottles/jars etc., so I like this case. Here's what it looks like :

Inside the case there are 5 double-ended dotting tools and they're all a different size at the end, they go from really small to pretty big. The ends are metallic and the rest of the tool is made of clear plastic with a lovely swirl-y design in the middle. I love the design and the fact that each tool comes with a different colored design, which looks cute. They're pretty sturdy too, they don't feel or look cheap. Here's what the dotting tools look up close :

(yeah, I haven't removed the nail polish from the middle one lol)

You can use these tools for various things (as seen in the item's description on the website), such as creating marbling designs, blending colors, creating swirls and textured finishes, creating dots and to pill dots into petal shapes when doing finely detailed flowers. I used it to create dots and it was a piece of cake, even a 5 year-old could do it. I simply dipped the end of the tool into the brush of the nail polish and then touched the surface of my nail with it to create the dot. Yep, it's that simple! ;) Here's how it came out :

(yeah, I know that my nail painting skills aren't the best)

These dotting tools retail for $4.74, which is a pretty reasonable price if you take into consideration that they offer free worldwide shipping! So, I would highly recommend these if you're into nail art and you're thinking about buying some dotting tools. Oh, and I have a 10% off coupon code for you, it's DBLK31 and it's valid until December 31st. Cool huh? ;)

I like this product and I've been really enjoying using it and making dots on my nails, they just look so cute in my opinion. Once I get the hang of it I'll start doing more complex nail designs with them! ;) What do you think? Would you buy them and use them?
