Review : La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Solution

I recently tried this micellar lotion by La Roche Posay, which I got as gift with a La Roche Posay sunscreen last December. The bottle I got was a sample size (50ml), but it was big enough for me to be able to fully test the product out.

Let’s start with the packaging as always! This micellar lotion comes in a simple clear plastic bottle that holds 200ml of product. I’ve also seen a 400ml version of this lotion on an online pharmacy, which is not available on the online pharmacy I shop from. The bottle is pretty basic and simple, there’s nothing fancy about it, but I like the fact that I can see how much product I have left. Here’s what it looks like (this is the sample size I got) :

The actual product is a clear liquid (like water) that has a light scent, which I can’t exactly describe, but I would say it’s a fresh scent that’s quite pleasant. I use this lotion after a makeup wipe to remove any traces of makeup left behind and it works really well, without irritating my skin or clogging my pores. It says it gently cleanses face, eyes and lips and that it’s suitable for sensitive skin and I couldn’t agree more. I also like Avene’s Micellar Lotion, but I like the La Roche Posay one even more, because it’s more gentle on the skin. You can leave it on the skin as it is, it leaves the skin soft and refreshed, but I personally always rinse out any lotions.

I haven’t bought the full sized bottle of this product, because I still have some Avene left, but I’ve checked it out and it costs around 12Euros and you get 200ml of product, which will last you quite some time, so it’s pretty reasonably priced and the bigger (400ml) bottle is at 15+Euros, so even more affordable. Try it out no matter what your skintype is, I’m sure you'll enjoy it.
