Review : L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder in C3 Rose Beige

This is the powder I currently carry with me in my handbag in case I need to do any touch-ups! I have the foundation from the same line too, check it out here if you want!

The packaging of this powder isn’t anything special, it’s a quite big plastic compact with silver details! When you open it up you get the powder and if you flip the thing that holds the powder over you’ll get another compartment that holds a mirror and a sponge! As you may know I love compacts with a mirror and the sponge isn’t bad either, I’ve actually used it a few times and it works pretty good! My only complaint with this packaging is that it feels and it looks cheap and when you move it around the thing that holds the powder and the mirror makes a noise! So, yeah.. it’s kinda flimsy! I expected something better from L’Oreal to be honest! Here’s what it looks like:

The actual product is a finely milled and silky powder! If you’ve ever swatched or owned this product you’ll agree with me that it feels like silk! It blends easily and it works great for touch-ups! I blot my face with blotting sheets to remove the excess oil and then I use either the sponge that comes with the powder or a retractable powder brush to apply some of this powder to my face! It makes me look so polished! However I avoid the area around my mouth and on the sides of my nose, because this powder tends to accentuate dry patches, so keep that in mind if you have dry skin or dry patches! I have no idea about the staying power of this powder, as I don’t use it as setting powder, but like I said it’s great for touch-ups, especially if you have oily skin!

As you may know L’Oreal products are very expensive in my country (Greece) and as far as I know it’s the same in Italy too! This powder retails for almost 15Euros here and you get 9g of product! I mean come on… I can get a MAC Blot Powder during their sales with that amount of money!! I got mine off Ebay for 5,80Euros including shipping, so definitely check out Ebay, especially if you’re looking for L’Oreal products!

  3. I think I have this tucked away in a draw. You know though what you said made me feel like a right idiot, there was me trying to decide between the blotting paper and a powder. What I didnt think, was to combine the two! Thanks, you have really made my day! lol!

  7. Thanks for the review. It sounds like a nice powder. It's ridiculous how high L'Oreal prices have become in Italy and Greece. I almost never buy anything from the brand for that reason these days.
