Review : Artdeco Camouflage Cream in Nr. 6

This is my favorite concealer for blemishes and redness! I totally love it! It's called Camouflage Cream and it really covers like a camouflage cream! I wouldn't use it on the under eye area though, as it's super creamy and provides heavy coverage, so it would propably crease and settle into fine lines! It's not meant for the under eye area anyway! So, let's get this review started!

This concealer comes in a cute little magnetic pan that you can use as it is, since it comes with a clear cap, or you can put it in one of Artdeco's Empty Palettes ! It's so small and convinient, I love throwing it in my purse, as it doesn't take up a lot of space at all ! Despite its size it holds 4.5g of product, which is pretty good! ;) Here's what it looks like:

The clear plastic cap slides right off

Here's what Artdeco says for their product :

Waterproof cover cream for every skin type to cover red veins, pigmented moles, port-wine stains, tattoos, etc.
Camouflage Cream covers flaws in the skin perfectly and reliably and is ideal for special occasions, like photographic- or bridal make-up. All colors can be mixed with each other which means the skin color can be matched exactly. The Camouflage Cream is also an ideal long-term make-up and lasts well even if the surrounding temperature is high. The cover can be light or heavy – depending on the amount applied and gets waterproof after fixing powder has been applied. It is very practical because Camouflage Creams are available separately, can be combined individually in the refillable magnetic box and those that have been used up can be replaced.

All these claims are true!! This concealer is super creamy!! It blends like a dream and it lasts for ever! If you've been following my blog for a while you know that I have oily skin! This concealer lasts all day on my oily skin, even if I don't set it with some sort of powder, no matter how high the temperature is!! That's freaking amazing!! It also covers really well, I have a lot of redness on my face, especially around my mouth and on the sides of my nose, and some occassional pimples and this concealer covers up everything without having to use a lot of product! I think I have shade Nr. 6 ( I've lost the sticker that states the shade Nr.) and it's a great match for my skintone! Here's a swatch of it on my finger unblended :

Here's what Artdeco suggests for application:
After moisturizing, remove a little Camouflage with a spatula, mix or soften on the back of the hand. Then apply thinly and evenly, using a slightly moistened latex sponge, and blend in at edges. You neutralize redness with green Camouflage and lighten dark areas and bluish shadows with yellow shades. If necessary, mix two color shades together. To make sure that the shade of make-up matches the skin tone exactly, always test the shade in a small area of the face, e.g. the cheek or where chin joins neck. Then apply fixing powder.

First of all I don't own a spatula lol ! And I've never tried the makeup sponge method! I usually apply it and blend it with my finger, since I get better results that way, the product melts right into your skin from the warmth of your finger! You can definitely use a concealer brush though, I've tried it and it works perfectly fine! :) You can use a brush for both application and blending or only for application and use your finger to blend! ;)

So, in case you haven't noticed I absolutely love this concealer, you have to try it!! It retails for about 6Euros here in Greece and you get 4.5g of a really pigmented concealer, so this pan will last you for ever! I've had mine for over a year and I still have tons of product left! ;) Definitely check it out!! You can find out where Artdeco Cosmetics are sold on their official website !

  1. Great review! :-) I love Artdeco, didn't try this concealer yet, maybe i should. :-)

  2. @makeupfan thanks :) you should definitely try it, it's a great concealer!! :)

  3. I'll try it! I wanted to try the MAC cream concealer or the Bobbie Brown one but they are so expensive and I never use all the product! I've heard that you can use cream concealer with a fluffy brush for your dark circles, that way it covers them but doesn't look cakey.

  4. @Natalie especially the Bobbi Brown is damn expensive!! :/ Yeah I've seen some girls using a fluffy blending brush to apply their under eye concealer, but I don't know if this trick would work with this concealer, as it's thick! hm... I'll try it anyway! lol
