Random Tip of the Day 18.07.2010

So, I came up with the idea of regularly posting random tips about makeup and beauty, just because I LOVE tips!! ;) And I love the fact that I can pass on the tips I've learned over the past years to you girls! :) If you already knew the tip I'm sharing or if you used the tip you learned from me, do let me know! ;)

If you use hairstyling products, then wash your hair with a deep cleansing shampoo about once a week to remove all hairstyling products residue! Otherwise your scalp will become flaky and propably itchy! Don't use it more often though, as these deep cleansing shampoos are a bit strong!

  1. Can I ask what are your fav hair products?
My latest loves for shampoo and conditioner are Garnier's Thickening ones I won from a competition. They don't have silicon!! I was so shocked :D

  2. @Melly I've been using Pantene Pro-V for curly hair (both the shampoo and the conditioner) and Syoss Shine Boost Shampoo (Syoss is from Scwarzkopf) ! I also love Scwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Gloss Shampoo and Hair Mask! I constantly change shampoo and conditioner though! :)

  3. Ah, how is the Syoss shampoo? I've been curious to try Syoss products for a nice while now, and the Garnier's will run empty soon :)
Either I try something new or go back to buying Tigi's Oatmeal & Honey shampoo and conditioner :)

  4. @Melly I actually like the shampoo and it's cheap too! :) Don't expect miracles, but it's nice! :) I got 750ml for under 5Euros, which is awesome!! :) I want to try the conditioner and the hair mask too!

  5. Yeah it's the price that attracts me as well :D Tigi's are a bit more expensive even when ordered online :s
Ok, I'll buy Syoss next and Tigi for the winter :)

  6. @Melly try the Syoss and in case it doesn't suit your hair, use it to wash your makeup brushes and your hair stuff (hair combs/brushes, hair clips etc) ;) that's what I do with shampoos that don't suit my hair! :) I want to try the other Syoss lines too! :)

  7. I will :)
Haha, I never thought about using normal shampoo's for brushes. If they can used, then I have some Tigi Fashionista to wash my brushes :D Nothing wrong with the product, other than the fact it stinks -.-

  8. @Melly yes you can, just make sure that the shampoo isn't strong, for example I wouldn't use a deep cleansing shampoo to wash my brushes, because it could dry out the bristles, making them less soft!

  9. tips can often change the way we view life, so I dont see how they woudnt help with makeup too!
