So, I came up with the idea of regularly posting random tips about makeup and beauty, just because I LOVE tips!! ;) And I love the fact that I can pass on the tips I've learned over the past years to you girls! :) If you already knew the tip I'm sharing or if you used the tip you learned from me, do let me know! ;)

Drink lots of water, especially now that the weather is hot! Yeah I know, it's such a popular tip/advice and yet a lot of people do not follow it! Ladies.. no matter how much you take care of your skin from the outside (expensive creams, serums, facials etc), if you don't take care of it from the inside (drink lots of water, eat fruits & vegetables, follow a balanced diet etc) it's not gonna look that good! Plus drinking water is good for your health too, because it keeps our body hydrated and it also helps it to flush away the toxins, which are really bad for both our health and beauty!

For those of you who don't like water (I personally love it), you still have some options! You can add some drops of lemon juice to your water or you can drink beverages, like milk, tea, fresh juice etc ! Another great option to hydrate our body is food! Yes you read correctly! Here are some examples of fruits, vegetables and dishes and how much water they contain:

  • cucumbers (97 percent water) 
  • tomatoes and zucchini (95 percent) 
  • eggplant (92 percent) 
  • peaches (87 percent)
  • A cup of red kidney beans is 77 percent water--that's more than 3/4 cup of liquid
  • 1 cup of couscous supplies 1/2 cup of water
  • One slice of whole-wheat bread is about one-third water and a tortilla somewhat more
  • A roasted chicken breast is 65 percent water 
  • baked salmon totals 62 percent
  • cheeses like blue and cheddar are about 40 percent water
Long tip, I know!! But I can't stress enough how important it is to hydrate our body! :)
