Review : Elf Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

First of all let me say that this is my first undereye concealer ever!! I don't have really dark circles, but you can easily see them! LOL! I have a vein under my left eye though that really bugs me!! So, after watching numerous youtube videos and reading quite many reviews, I thought I'd give Elf's Under Eye Concealer a try! Covering your dark circles makes a hell of a difference to our looks, it makes us look fresh, polished and... well rested! ;)

I'm pale, but not super pale, so at first I ordered the shade Glow/ Light ! It looked ok on my skin, but not perfect! So, when Elf UK offered 20 % off for their Studio Line, I went ahead and ordered the Glow/Medium! At their website it looked kind of dark, but in real life it's not that dark! It's just more peachy/orangy than the Light one! Here's a picture of the 2 of them side by side and then their swatches:

(in the tube you can't see much of a difference)

(when swatched, the Medium is a lot darker than the Light)

So, the Medium one looks better on me! The Light one doesn't look bad, but you can say it looks a liiiiittle bit ashy! The texture of the concealer is nice, it blends easily (I apply it in little dots under my eyes, using the doe foot applicator of the concealer and then I blend it using my middle finger to pat it in) and it doesn't go into my fine lines (well, I'm 25 though, so I don't have many fine lines) ! It also lasts very well, but you have to set it with some sort of powder, like most under eye concealers! I blend the yellow and the pink powder from the Complexion Perfection (mixed together they give a peachy color, which is good for hiding under eye circles) and I use this mixture to set my Under Eye Concealer!

Overall I'm very pleased with this product, I totally recommend it, unless you have really dark circles, because it's not a heavy/full coverage concealer! I haven't tried the Highlighter part yet, but the concealer alone is definitely worth the £3.50 price tag! :) You can get it here

And as always... here's a helpful youtube video about covering dark circles! ;)
